Mental-ship Program

Teen Girls Ages 13-18

TEA Foundation recognizes that mental health struggles among teenagers have become increasingly pervasive and detrimental to their overall well-being. As we watch the growing generation, we have noticed a trend in the emotional health of youth. We are seeing a change in how teens feel about themselves and others. Mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression are increasingly common among young people. However, our four-month mental health program aims to address the unique emotional and psychological needs of teenagers within our communities. The mental-ship program includes five activities aimed at fostering relationships, along with a one-day workshop on understanding emotions, anxiety, depression, and sexual health, facilitated by licensed professionals.

The mental-ship program offers a wide range of activities that promote mental well-being and personal growth. It provides a space where teens will acquire coping skills and the necessary tools and strategies to manage mental health challenges, while improving their ability to relate to others and more importantly to themselves. Activities include workshops, group therapy sessions, mindfulness exercises, art therapy, adventure outings, and guest speakers. All programs are age-appropriate, engaging, educational, and provide opportunities for self-reflection. By offering comprehensive support and resources, we aim to empower these adolescents to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
